Since its inception in 2021, World PR Day (WPRD) has become a global movement, uniting over 65 countries annually on July 16th to celebrate and elevate the public relations profession. A hallmark of WPRD is the PR Power List, a prestigious list by GLG Communications in partnership with one of Nigeria’s oldest and most respected publications, The Guardian. The PR Power List honors 50 outstanding PR practitioners driving impact across industries within and outside Nigeria. This initiative, alongside the event’s high-caliber programming, attracts an elite audience, including PR leaders, government officials, celebrities, and key industry stakeholders.
This year, GLG is hosting 3 landmark events and is bringing back the PR Power List with a bang! The 2025 WPRD official theme is “Building Bridges & Navigating Polarisation”, and we will be exploring how PR and Communications professionals can drive connection, inclusion, and unity in an increasingly divided world.
The PR Power List is a first-of-its-kind celebration to honour outstanding PR professionals in Nigeria to mark World PR Day, celebrated annually on July 16 across the world. The list is divided into five main categories: ICONS, CHANGEMAKERS, COMMUNITY IMPACT, RISING VOICES, MEDIA ICONS. The list was selected by our judging panel, who worked independently of each other to provide a holistic list.
